It was such a humbling experience being able to give back to the less fortunate in Jacksonville FL. A simple donation of $100 bought essential items such as tooth brushes, soap, water, sandwiches, tissue, feminine products and etc. for over 30 people. A little bit truly does go a long way! Growing up in New York City, I took the trains and buses to get back and forth from school and work, so I was exposed to the issue of homelessness at a rather early age. When I moved to Jacksonville and saw the homelessness here was such a chronic issue, I vowed to do something about it. Jump4Jax has not only given me the opportunity to give back to my community but it also opens doors to create a stronger interconnected community, a community that understands that in order to move forward we must give back. The Jump to End Homelessness campaign was launched in early January and now we are actively accepting donations and contributions to help assist us in our philanthropic efforts. Our next distribution will be on 03/10 in Downtown Jacksonville. If you would like to “jump in” to volunteer, please contact us at info@jump4jax.com. #jump4jax
