About the event
Join us at Memorial Park for our Open Ropes sessions and experience the incredible benefits of Double-Dutch! Our nonprofit, Jump4Jax, is dedicated to promoting health and fitness through Double-Dutch, and we’ve been teaching the Jacksonville community for over 8 years.
At Jump4Jax, we teach all age groups how to jump rope. Our skilled coaches can help improve intermediate jumpers and teach essential turning techniques, which are crucial for ensuring proper jumping and the safety of all participants.
Come and join us for a fun, high-energy experience that not only boosts physical fitness but also enhances mental well-being and academic skills. See you at Memorial Park!
Renowned mental health professional, Dr. Jeremiah Clemency, highlights the numerous health benefits of jumping rope, especially for fluency. Fluency, an executive function of the brain, involves maintaining a steady pace and rhythm, which is essential for academic skills, timing, sensory processing, and motor coordination. This activity is particularly beneficial for children with ADD/ADHD, helping them improve reading fluency, math fluency, and independent working pace.
